What is Nestify and how does it work?+
Nestify is Australia's modern property marketplace where you can buy, sell, or rent residential and commercial properties. Simply create a free account, then browse thousands of verified listings or post your own property in minutes. Our platform connects buyers, renters, and sellers directly — with no hidden commissions.
Is Nestify free to use?+
Yes! Creating an account, browsing listings, and saving properties to your wishlist are completely free. Listing a property is also free for the first 3 listings per month. Premium features — such as featured placement and priority support — are available through our paid plans starting from $49/month.
Which Australian cities does Nestify cover?+
We currently cover all major cities and regions including:
Sydney and Greater NSW

Do I need an account to browse properties?+
No — you can browse and view all listings without an account. However, to save properties to your wishlist, contact an agent, or post a listing, you'll need to create a free account. It only takes about 30 seconds!
How do I get started as a new user?+
Click "Sign Up" and create your free account. You'll then complete a short onboarding flow where you tell us your goals (buying, renting, or selling), preferred cities, and budget range. We use this to personalise your search results and send you relevant new listings as they hit the market.

How do I search for properties to buy?+
Use the search bar on the homepage to enter a suburb, city, or postcode. You can then filter results by property type (house, apartment, townhouse, etc.), price range, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and more. Toggle between grid and list view, and save any property to your wishlist with the heart icon.
Are the property prices on Nestify negotiable?+
Prices listed are the asking price set by the seller or agent. All negotiations happen directly between the buyer and seller — Nestify is the marketplace, not the agent. We recommend engaging a licensed buyer's agent or conveyancer when making an offer on a property.
How do I contact the owner or agent of a property?+
Open any property detail page and scroll to the "Contact Agent" or "Send Enquiry" panel. You can send a direct message, request an inspection time, or call the agent if a phone number is listed. You'll need to be signed in to send enquiries.
Does Nestify verify property listings?+
We perform automated checks on all listings and require sellers to verify their identity via email. Listings from licensed real estate agents are verified with their agency licence number. That said, we always recommend conducting your own due diligence, including a professional building inspection and conveyancing before purchasing.
Can I save properties and compare them?+
Yes! Click the heart (♡) icon on any listing to save it to your Wishlist, accessible from your Dashboard → Saved tab. Future comparison tools are on our roadmap — sign up to our newsletter to be notified when they launch.
🔑 Renting
How do I find rental properties?+
Browse all listings and filter by Rent under the "For" category. You can also filter by weekly rent range, number of bedrooms, furnishing status (furnished/unfurnished), and whether pets are allowed. Rental prices on Nestify are listed as a monthly figure.
Are bond amounts shown on listings?+
Bond information is shown where provided by the landlord or property manager. Under Australian tenancy law, the maximum bond is typically 4 weeks rent (for properties under a certain threshold). Exact bond amounts should be confirmed with the landlord before signing a lease.
Can I apply for a rental through Nestify?+
Currently, rental applications are handled directly with the landlord or property manager after making contact through Nestify. We're building an in-app rental application feature that will allow you to upload all documents (ID, payslips, references) and submit applications directly — coming in Q3 2025.
What is the minimum lease term for rentals?+
Minimum lease terms vary by state and by landlord. Most long-term rentals are 6 or 12 months. Short-term and holiday rentals may be available from as little as 1 month. Always confirm the minimum term with the landlord or property manager before proceeding.
Can I list my property as a room for rent?+
Yes! When posting a property, select Room as the property type. This is ideal for people renting out a spare room in a shared house. You can specify the number of rooms available, furnishing status, bill arrangements, and pet/smoking policies.
📋 Listing a Property
How do I list my property on Nestify?+
Click "Post Property" in the navigation. You'll complete a 4-step form:
Step 1: Basic info (type, title, description)
Step 2: Location details
Step 3: Pricing and features
Step 4: Photos and contact info
Your listing will be live within minutes after submission.
How much does it cost to list a property?+
The first 3 listings per month are completely free. Additional listings are $19 each. Our Premium plan ($49/month) includes unlimited listings, featured placement in search results, priority support, and detailed analytics. Contact us at hello@nestify.com.au for agency pricing.
How long does my listing stay active?+
Free listings remain active for 90 days. You'll receive an email reminder 7 days before expiry, and can renew in one click from your Dashboard. Premium listings remain active for as long as your subscription is active and can be paused or removed at any time.
Can I edit or remove my listing after posting?+
Yes! Go to Dashboard → My Listings to edit any field (price, photos, description, etc.) or mark a property as sold/leased. Marking as sold will deactivate the listing but keep it in your account history.
What photos should I include in my listing?+
Listings with 8+ high-quality photos receive 3x more enquiries on average. We recommend including:
Living areas and kitchen
All bedrooms and bathrooms
Outdoor spaces, garden or balcony
Garage, car park, or storage
Street frontage / building exterior
Use natural lighting and landscape orientation for best results. Minimum image size: 1200 × 800px.
👤 Account & Privacy
How do I change my password or email?+
Go to Dashboard → Edit Profile to update your name, email, phone, and location. To reset your password, click "Forgot Password" on the sign-in page and we'll send a reset link to your registered email address.
How do I delete my Nestify account?+
To permanently delete your account and all associated data, email us at privacy@nestify.com.au with your registered email address and the subject "Account Deletion Request". We'll process your request within 7 business days in compliance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
Is my personal data safe with Nestify?+
Absolutely. We take privacy seriously and comply fully with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Your data is stored on Australian-based servers, encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We never sell your personal data to third parties. Read our full Privacy Policy.
How do I report a suspicious listing?+
Click the "Report" flag icon on any property detail page. Our trust and safety team reviews all reports within 24 hours. For urgent matters (e.g. suspected fraud), contact us directly at trust@nestify.com.au or call 1800 NESTIFY. Never transfer money or personal documents without first verifying the listing is legitimate.
